Proudly Serving Woodhaven Since 1972.

Community matters.

On the evening of Saturday, July 30, 1853, a group of citizens gathered in a church in the village of Woodville, Long Island. Not too long before, they were notified by the US government that a request to open a Post Office had been turned down because there was already a town called Woodville in existence in upstate New York. On that fine evening, the residents of Woodville, Long Island, voted to rename the village Woodhaven, and the first Woodhaven Town Hall came to a successful end. Since 1972, Woodhaven community members have been able to make a difference in their community by being a member of the Woodhaven Residents’ Block Association (WRBA).
